BodyLeap Privacy Policy

BodyLeap is a local-first app. Your health and workout data, your training plan, and your
settings are stored only on your device, in an encrypted database. BodyLeap does not run a
server, does not have an account system, and does not upload, sync, or share your data with us
or any third party.
What BodyLeap reads, and why
- Apple Health. With your permission, BodyLeap reads the following on your
device to compute your readiness, recovery, and training guidance: heart-rate variability
(SDNN), resting heart rate, heart rate, sleep analysis including sleep stages, respiratory
rate, wrist temperature, VO2 max (Apple's Cardio Fitness estimate), workouts and workout
distance, running power, and step count. BodyLeap never writes to Apple Health. You can
revoke access any time in the iOS Health app.
- Workout routes (GPS). With your permission, BodyLeap reads a run's GPS
route from Apple Health, on demand, to draw the route shape on your device and to measure
your splits, pace, elevation, and best efforts. The drawing uses no map tiles and no network.
Route coordinates are used in the moment and are never stored: BodyLeap keeps only derived
numbers such as split times, never your location.
- Biological sex (optional). If granted, BodyLeap reads it once from Apple
Health, only to compare your VO2 max against the matching age and sex reference ranges for
the fitness score. It is used on device only.
- Date of birth (optional). If you tap "Use my age from Apple Health",
BodyLeap reads your date of birth once to pre-fill your age. It is used on device only.
- Apple Watch (WorkoutKit). If you send a planned session to your Apple
Watch, the workout is handed to Apple's system to appear in the Watch's Workout app. No
BodyLeap server is involved.
- Sign in with Apple (optional). If you use it, BodyLeap reads only the name
Apple provides, once, to fill in your profile name on your device. No account is created and
nothing is uploaded.
What BodyLeap does not do
- We collect no analytics and use no tracking or advertising SDKs.
- Nothing you enter or import ever leaves your device.
- Deleting the app removes the local database and all of your data.
